An 18-year-old woman from Lubbock Texas has been arrested on multiple charges after police say she called to report a rape after she wasn’t paid for prostitution services.

Just after 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, officers responded to the Hyatt Hotel on East Putnam Avenue after the woman called police reporting that she was raped by a guest at the hotel.
After a police investigation in which police interviewed everyone involved, police determined that the woman had lied and fabricated the entire account of the incident. She admitted to police that she was involved in prostitution at the hotel. She was arrested and charged with falsely reporting an incident, prostitution, and interfering with a police officer. She is being held on $10,000 bond. Police said they believe the motivation for the false report was made after she failed to receive full payment for services rendered.

The sexual act that occurred was consensual between the two participants. YOU CAN’T JUST DECIDE THAT THE ACCEPTED DEFINITION OF RAPE THAT YOU AND MILLIONS OF OTHERS AGREE WITH IS SUDDENLY NOT ACCURATE OR APPLICABLE IN THIS SITUATION. They were both consenting adults, and if she reported rape, that meant that she was not consenting in the sexual act. Which she was. If anything, this man stole her PAYCHECK without her consent, NOT her services or body. She did not consent to have agreed upon money withheld from here, and she did not consent to be underpaid, but she DID consent to HAVE SEX WITH THIS MAN. Which means that it WAS. NOT. RAPE.

This is called rape by deception. Also known as conditional consent, it means they person consents when a certain condition is applied.  In this case the condition is being paid.  As a sex worker, she consented ONLY because the client agreed to pay her.    When he didn’t pay her, the transaction was voided which means the consent was violated.  The client didn’t hold up HIS end of the bargain, which means he broke their agreed conditions under which she consented, which means IT WASN’T CONSENSUAL.  

If this were a case of a person saying “I’ll sleep with you, but only if you wear a condom.” and they have sex, and after it’s over, the guy goes “surprise, I didn’t wear one!” That’s rape.

This is not any different.  Conditional consent exists and if it gets violated, that means IT WAS NON-CONDITIONAL.

It’s so goddamn simple, why are you making excuses for the rape of a fucking 18 year old girl?!

Westerners read everything visual, including signs with no words and art, from left to right and up to down.
